Eligibility for H.S.S:

  • A person in his individual
  • More than one person in the joint name can open a saving bank account.
  • A minor over the age of 12 years can also have a saving bank account if he/she can read, write and operate the account personally.
  • Educational and charitable institution (Those who don’t conduct business for profit purposes )
  • A blind person can also have a saving bank account.
  • An illiterate person can also have a saving bank account.
  • Agencies or organization or bodies that have special permit to open a saving bank account.
  • Along with the savings account, the customer is provided with a Central Bank of India Debit Card and passbook.

Current Account:

The customer needs to maintain and hence initial deposit amount for opening the account is 3000 rupee for rural, for semi-rub 3000 rupees, for urban 5000 rupees and for metro cities branch 7000 rupees.You can check your Current account balance on Central Bank of India Net Banking with out visiting the bank.

Features of the Current account are as follows:

  • Free cheque book will be provided at the time of opening the account and there after rupee 3 per leaf will be charged.
  • For current account holder, the credit card issuance charge will be zero.
  • The customer needs to pay the credit card renewal charge of rupee 100 every two years.
  • Internet banking services, SMS alerts, and Phone Banking facility are free for current account customers.
