Another interesting banking service from PNB Corporate Internet Banking service available for PNB corporate customers. Registering for corporate internet banking services is simple and easy. The user will be given online access to the account instantly after submitting the form. Using the Internet banking services, corporate can easily add or remove the beneficiary accounts, transfer funds to other bank accounts as well as to those within PNB, manage the recurring transactions by setting a standing instruction, pay bills including the different types of taxes, make donations, undertake share trading and pay tuition fees at registered educational institutions.
Security measures employed by PNB for secure internet banking
To ensure high security of their internet banking account, customers can set the login time during which they wish to access the site to manage the transactions. An intruder trying to access the site at other times will be unsuccessful in accessing the site. The addition of beneficiaries to whom the customers wish to make payments can be done very easily. The customer is also provided the option to set the limits at various levels i.e. the user levels, account level, type of transactions and the number of beneficiaries to be added and others. PNB Net Banking Registration & Login
Customers with a valid PNB account and a debit card can register for retail internet banking services. After accessing the bank website choose the option of retail internet banking. Then click, New User.
Choose the mobile banking or internet banking or both the options as per the requirement. The customer will then be prompted to enter the account number. Click verify. choose the type of facility required i.e. if the customer would like to only view the transactions or also make transactions. Customers who choose the view only option can obtain the transaction facility later by submitting the request.
After providing the account number, one-time password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number of the customer. After providing the confirmation by entering the OTP received, the customer is prompted to enter the debit card number and ATM PIN. Now, as a final step, the customer is asked to set the login ID and the password to be used for making the transactions online. After completion of the registration, a message confirming the registration process along with the User ID is displayed on the screen.
Corporate customers can register for the corporate internet banking services by submitting the form PNB-1212 at any of the PNB branches.
Customers with only the view facility can upgrade for the transaction facility by submitting a request. To make the request, the customer has to login the internet banking account, click the Request option. Choose the option request for transaction password. Enter the required details such as the User ID and address to obtain the transaction password. The transaction password will be created electronically at Head Office and will be mailed to the customer at the specified address. After receiving the password the customer can use the password after activating it. To activate the password, login the internet banking account, choose the option Request for activation of Transaction password. Click submit and the password would be activated within 24 hours of submitting the request. Customers are suggested to change the password and do not disclose it to ensure secure transactions. Opening the account and requesting for internet banking services
Customers opening a new account at the bank can make a request for internet banking services too. In the form, choose the internet banking facility, provide the other required details and submit the form at the branch. The user Id and password will be provided to the customer to the registered mailing address. Customers can activate the password by submitting a request. After receiving the request for activation of the password, the internet banking service associated with the account will be activated within 24 hours. This process also same for SBI Net Banking.
Hurdles in accessing the net banking services
Access to the net banking account will be blocked if the customer enters the wrong password consecutively for five times. In such cases, the customer is suggested to approach the nearest branch and make a request to activate the account. A new password will be provided to the branch within 7 days. Get the password activated and the internet banking services can be accessed uninterruptedly.
To prevent inactivation of the account, the customer is recommended to enter the user ID and password correctly. The user ID should be alphanumeric without any special symbols.
Internet banking services will also be unavailable if the customer fails to access the account for about 180 days. The account will be inactivated automatically. Blocking the Net banking services
Customers who do not use the net banking services can block the internet banking services by just sending an SMS. The Sleep Easy option blocks the transaction password. To block the internet banking services send an SMS to 5607040 or 9264092640 from the registered mobile number in the format – Block IBS User-ID. The transaction password will be disabled immediately after receiving the SMS and the confirmation of the same will be sent to the customer. The confirmation SMS will also include the procedure to enable the same password that has been disabled. Internet Banking Services for NRIs
NRI customers with a joint or individual account are eligible to avail the internet banking services. Using the internet banking, NRI customers can avail different services – view the list of last ten transactions, transfer funds to domestic accounts or to NRE or NRO accounts, Pay bills, make donations, and pay taxes. The daily fund transfer limit is Rs.5 Lakhs. Other services that are available to NRI customers are- make a request for cheque book, opening a new account, Demand Draft, liquidate FD in parts, Open an FD account, Renew FD, view the statement of account, make a request for unique transaction password, and reset the transaction password. It should be remembered that NRI customers cannot avail the fund transfer services through RTGS and NEFT.

PNB Net Banking Password Reset
PNB provides the option to reset the password for customers who forget the password. Enter the username. Click on the forgot password link to reset the password.
The customer will then be prompted to enter the User ID. Click submit after entering the User ID. To successfully reset the password online, the customer has to keep the following details handy – Account number associated with the internet banking service, the mobile for which the OTP will be sent, and OTP that is provided to the mobile number. The number of attempts per day to reset the password is limited. Hence, the customer is suggested to be very careful while resetting the password. The information i.e. the User ID and OTP have to be provided correctly. The password can be used instantly after resetting. Customers who fail to reset the password online can contact the customer care and reset the password. Customers can also reset the password by visiting the branch. The password will be sent to the customer at the registered mailing address. The customer can change the password after logging in the site for the first time.
Reporting loss of debit card via internet banking
In the case of loss of debit card, the customer has to inform the bank immediately and inactivate the card to prevent misusage of card and loss. To hotlist a debit card, the customer has to login the internet banking account. Choose the value added-service and click the ATM or PNB Debit Card hot listing feature. Provide the account number to which the card is linked. Then, the card associated with the account will be displayed. Provide the internet banking service password and the card will be hotlisted immediately. It should be remembered that once a card is inactivated or hot listed cannot be reused.
Addressing Complaints Related to Online Banking
Customers finding trouble using net banking services can lodge a complaint online. Complaints submitted online will be addressed quickly compared to those submitted at the bank. To register a complaint choose the submit a complaint option listed under products on the home page. The CCSRMS for submitting the complaint is as follows:
Provide the required details such as the type of the customer, request type, account number, mobile number, customer name, email ID, Pin Code, Category, Type, sub-type and the remarks. It is mandatory to provide the value for all the fields. After providing all the details, the customer has to provide the code provided at the end of the form.
