PNB retail net banking

After providing the account number, one-time password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number of the customer. Now, as a final step, the customer is asked to set the login ID and the password to be used for making the transactions online. After completion of the registration, a message confirming the registration process along with the User ID is displayed on the screen.

Corporate customers can register for the corporate internet banking services by submitting the form PNB-1212 at any of the PNB branches.

Customers with only the view facility can upgrade for the transaction facility by submitting a request. To make the request, the customer has to login the internet banking account, click the Request option. Choose the option request for transaction password. Enter the required details such as the User ID and address to obtain the transaction password. The transaction password will be created electronically at Head Office and will be mailed to the customer at the specified address. After receiving the password the customer can use the password after activating it. To activate the password, login the internet banking account, choose the option Request for activation of Transaction password. Click submit and the password would be activated within 24 hours of submitting the request. Customers are suggested to change the password and do not disclose it to ensure secure transactions. Opening the account and requesting for internet banking services

Customers opening a new account at the bank can make a request for internet banking services too. In the form, choose the internet banking facility, provide the other required details and submit the form at the branch. The user Id and password will be provided to the customer to the registered mailing address. Customers can activate the password by submitting a request. After receiving the request for activation of the password, the internet banking service associated with the account will be activated within 24 hours. This process also same for SBI Net Banking.

Hurdles in accessing the net banking services

Access to the net banking account will be blocked if the customer enters the wrong password consecutively for five times. In such cases, the customer is suggested to approach the nearest branch and make a request to activate the account. A new password will be provided to the branch within 7 days. Get the password activated and the internet banking services can be accessed uninterruptedly.

To prevent inactivation of the account, the customer is recommended to enter the user ID and password correctly. The user ID should be alphanumeric without any special symbols.

Internet banking services will also be unavailable if the customer fails to access the account for about 180 days. The account will be inactivated automatically. Blocking the Net banking services

Customers who do not use the net banking services can block the internet banking services by just sending an SMS. The Sleep Easy option blocks the transaction password. To block the internet banking services send an SMS to 5607040 or 9264092640 from the registered mobile number in the format – Block IBS User-ID. The transaction password will be disabled immediately after receiving the SMS and the confirmation of the same will be sent to the customer. Internet Banking Services for NRIs

NRI customers with a joint or individual account are eligible to avail the internet banking services. Using the internet banking, NRI customers can avail different services – view the list of last ten transactions, transfer funds to domestic accounts or to NRE or NRO accounts, Pay bills, make donations, and pay taxes. The daily fund transfer limit is Rs.5 Lakhs.
